An Introduction to Heat Transfer Vinyl
Vinyl transfers produce shirts that look printed, and come as cad-cut sheets that need to be weeded before pressing (we can do this for you as an optional service – and any completed shirts you order with design applied are automatically weeded). Then the vinyl layers/colors are pressed one at a time. Each color is its own layer and press. Colors can be layered on top of each other.
For large orders (50+ pcs), it is often more cost-effective to screenprint. We can assist you with this; contact us for more details.
Note: While we typically don’t recommend you try to combine vinyl with any other materials, it can be done in some circumstances. If you’d like to learn more about this, contact us.
DESIGN SETUP FEES:
All designs submitted will be charged a one-time design fee for creating the CAD files necessary to produce the finished product, even if finished product is never ordered by you.
Costs:
Our design fee structure is simple: Just $35 per hour for all design work; 15 minute ($8.75) minimum.
Since the amount of design time required for a project depends on a number of factors and can vary widely, it is difficult to estimate ahead of time. However, we have created a sample pricing page which shows examples of other custom projects, and their time and costs.
Timing:
You can choose the speed at which we create and deliver your design proofs & price quote. Daily submission deadline is 3:00pm MT Mon-Fri, and assumes all required specifications are included in the request. Our commitment to 1, 2 or 3 day turnaround does not begin until we have all necessary detail to complete the design. Proofs are e-mailed to you by 3:00pm MT on the delivery date. If your proof is finished early it will be sent early. Designs are kept in your account permanently and do not expire.
Restrictions/Limitations: By submitting this form you agree that you have permission to recreate any logos/artwork/trademarks requested. If the project involves trademarks, pro sports logos, collegiate names/images or similar types of potentially unpermissable designs, we may require documentation stating your license to reproduce it and proof that your license extends to us to manufacture it.
